Completely out of the technology
arena, in 2003 we broadened the definition of Information Technology
to include the translation, transcription and interpretation of
non-English languages from all sources and media types. A major
contributor to SCD, Dr. Zomaya Solomon, spent his entire life as
a senior linguist/teacher at the National Security Agency. Recently,
because of his reputation, we were asked to locate linguists for
positions that have been difficult to fill. Naturally, being of
Middle Eastern descent, our initial focus has been the languages
of those countries, like Arabic, Assyrian, and Hebrew. In 2006 SCD
became intrigued by the opportunity to supply translators of lower
density languages to government programs. We have successfully added
19 additional languages to our already extensive list of languages
we support.
